Fired up FRENZY!!!

It’s a Fired up FRENZY in here!!!
I really value EXCITEMENT!  Isn’t it fun to be excited?  Getting excited doesn’t always happen by accident, we have to go after it and stir ourselves up for things.  Excitement is one of the coolest emotions…think about how FUN it is to talk to someone who is excited vs. someone who is “blah”…I really value EXCITEMENT!!
Today I am exited for so many things~ I am excited for the sunny weather, for the UFC TUF finals tonight, for the BIG things happening in my work life, for the new contest, for Jess who competes next week!!!  I am excited to “play” with my kids now that school is out!!! I am EXCITED!!!!!! …and I plan to make that excitement visible on my face and through my words and body language–because IT will rub off on others and make them EXCITED TOO!!!!
It is so fun to see all the great excitement to start the contest on Monday~ we are going to have a FUN 10 weeks!!!
I had a great Friday- filled will “to do’s”…but I made myself get out for a run last evening and it was perfect!!
Then this morning I went to the gym and did a leg workout~~ I feel GREAT!!!

I have a flight out tomorrow for a Monday Meeting, but I will be checking in and I will starting the contest with all of you!

My Biggest goal is to be VERY involved here in the RR and with personally helping many of you succeed on your quest to be a SuperSTAR Success.  I’d like to provide as much information as possible through posting tips, exercises, videos, etc…my other  goals are mainly MAINTENANCE and overall fitness.  I am quite happy with my “look” at moment, but it can always get better :snicker:
AND for me my DIET is always a work in progress…so DIET will be key for me these next 10 weeks.

Let’s get after it ~

“Am I Drooling…?”

“Excuse me…but could you tell me if I am drooling?”

I felt like I needed to ask someone that my entire workout~!  I guess that’s what happens when you workout with a completely numb right side of your face!!  So…as you are guessing I visited the dentist today and had a tooth prepped for a crown…Dental work for me is VERY rare and I don’t remember having a numb face like this since I was in 7th grade…about 20 years ago!!!

Anyhow….I did workout but with NO fuel!
I haven’t eaten anything all day actually and it’s almost 3pm~
So….I kinda wimped out:

Bench 45×20
95×10x3

Push ups
20, 10

Hanging knee ups
15

Pull ups
8

Tricep extensions
45×10x2

Knee ups on bench
25repsx2

then I ran for 10 mins–almost died–my sports bras were too tight!
then I did the stairmill with super booty focus for 10 mins

that’s it…

Now I have to shower quick, try to drink a protein shake and pick up my kids from their last day of school!!!

SuperSTAR Success Contest!!! + HUGE TV news!!!

Hi everyone!

I have big exciting news to tell you all!  We are going to have our very own BuffMother! infomercial so we can spread the word about BuffMother! and the success it has given so many women.

A wonderful company in Los Angeles will be helping us to produce it and I am busier than ever now with script writing, photo shoots, interviews and everything associated with putting together a fantastic show.

Now comes the real exciting part!  We want YOU to be a part of it.  There is nothing better than helping other people - and by telling your story you will motivate thousands to get off the couch and get BUFF!  If you are selected to be on the “show” you will get a FREE TRIP to where we will be shooting, and you will get to tell your story!  Secretly, my hope is that it is in Los Angeles, but we do not know yet; but wherever it is, we will be sure to have a great time.  

So there are 2 ways you can be a part of this:

1. If you already have reached your goal (or are close) please fill out the form below and send us your before and after photo.  Don’t worry if they are not great, if you are picked we will be shooting you again with makeup and the works!
2. If you are just starting, or not at your goal, consider joining the Rally Room our support group on www.BuffMother.com .  We will be starting a 10 week contest with tons of support to get everyone in great shape.  **NOTE**If you are interested in being featured in the infomercial. My B-day~recap and super busy Sunday!

Hi Girls!
Well my b-day started off with a my first speeding ticket ever!

here is the story again for those of you who missed it: My day started off great …I woke up to many B-day greetings~ talked to Julie a bit the decided to go for a treat–WE (my 4 kids and I) then headed to Krispy Creme to get some treats and coffee. We were enjoying the sun shining, looking at the airplanes and the horses…and they started singing Happy B-day to me!! It was GREAT!! then I looked up and had a cop with flashing lights behind me!! The cop had no mercy on me despite the fact that it was my b-day, the road being an obvious speed trap, the fact that I’ve never had a ticketin my life and not even the fact my speedometer is busted. HE STILL gave me a ticket! So Happy B-day to me– my first ticket!So I expect the rest of the day to be wonderful! lol

But It went better from there~ My son had a Baseball Tourney all day~ so we were at the fields, all day~ I wasn’t too happy to spend my B-day there with 3 girls, but it turned out GREAT! 
His team won!!!
YAY~!!
then on the ride home Julie called and told me she won!!!  Double YAY!~!!  What an awesome end to the day!!

So when I got home I had 2 mini CCL (as Kim says- cold coors lights) and spent some time dancing to Britney Sprears, lol!
I also did a handstand against the wall…my first one in forever!  It was great so I held it for 45 seconds…I also did 2 bridges– I want to get more gymnastic again, lol!!
But this morning I wish I hadn’t!  My neck is OUT and has been killing me all day!  I guess I am old after all!

No workout for me today, but I did do a good leg workout yesterday and about 45 mins of dancing last night, hehe!!

I’ve been very busy today: working, going to wal-mart, backing B-day cupcakes, laundry, cleaning, etc….  I have more to do, plus get my kiddos to bed– the older 2 still have school for 4 more days and the twins will be at the sitters tomorrow…so I should be able to get tons done then!!

p.s.  Almost forgot to mention my VALUE~ I value hard work…I believe that hard work always provides rewards.  If not monetary, in a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment that nothing else can provide.  When I work hard or see another working hard it is so inspirational!  Working hard is needed if we expect to see change in our lives…Challenge (working hard)= Change!

Thursday turn-around…

Well…. today is a turn-around of sorts for my week.  Up until last night our whole family was sleep deprived and yesterday I thought I was going to become a narcoleptic.  I was so SLEEPY…so I took it as sign that I needed to SLEEP instead.  So we all went to bed early and today has been a mucho better day.  I really, REALLY value my sleep!  I KNOW that it is key for me to be my best mentally and physically.  Without enough I turn into a crabby MOMMA….not only do I value my sleep but my kids’ sleep.  I’ve always been very staunch about them getting to be on time and when they were little having their naps.  I really believe that if our world would get better sleep EVERYONE would be more healthy and productive.  A key practice that ensures my sleep being “good” is to keep my afternoon caffeine intake very limited, to “settle down” a couple hours prior to bed and to get my workouts done. 

My leg workout today looked like this:
Warm up r-bike 5 min and treddy running 10 mins
* please remember I am just starting back with squats and deadlifts after some time off of them– I am not normally this weak, lol

Leg press (single leg)

Seated calf raises

Side lunges 10 high+10 low
sissy squats 20reps

70×10x2…after the second set I got a massive hip cramp which basically hindered the rest of my workout

That was all…afterwards I went tanning and talked to Lori G… fun to hear her voice and chat with her finally!!  then a bit later after the kids got home from school we went to wal-mart to mainly get TP and look at what they had for bedspreads and curtains.  They had nothing I wanted for my room….AND I forgot the TP!!  5 women go through a ton of TP ;)

I am off to try and get some more cleaning/work done.

Massages ROCK!!

Despite getting tickled a bit, my massage ROCKED!!  This year for my birthday I am all about BUYING myself presents- so today was my B-day massage.  Later today I am going to order at least 3 pairs of shoes online~ and look for some new curtains, bedspread and DESK for my room.  AND then on Friday I have a B-day Facial!  Saturday is my actual B-day and I plan on doing SOMETHING fun for myself on that day too!!!

If you haven’t guessed already, I value MY Birthday!!!  I’ve always LOVED it, gotten excited for it, been agressive about celebrating it, etc….I just love the feeling of having ONE DAY that is MINE!!!  It is a worthy celebration after all ;)
Birthdays to me are kinda like New Years– a day to take stock of where I am in life and where I am going– a day to think and reflect on all the Love God has for me!  I love the fact that each and every year of my life I grow wiser and happier!! I can’t wait to see how awesome I’ll feel when I am actually old, lol!!  My childhood years were fun, teens were quite turbulent, twenties testing and my thirties have been TERRIFIC!!  I am so blessed to get to celebrate another birthday this week and on Saturday!!

Yesterday I had a good upper body workout and a short run– it got cut short due to an INSANE cramp in my foot– OUCH, I could barely drive home it was so bad!
my workout included these exercises:
Cybex lat pulls
Bicep curls
seated rows
knee ups  on roman chair
lat pulls on knees (wide high cables)
cable bicep curls
 bench
tricep dips (finished with a hip raise plank)
Incline hammer press
knee up on bench
Run 12 mins total– cramp ended it early

Today-
I will go for a run this afternoon and do lower body

quick HI!! - value family

HI!! Just wanted to say HI and Happy Monday to you all!!  it is a rainy day here in hogville (AR)…anyhow, I have been working on the BBB contest stuff all day– we are close to announcing a winner!!

We went to the lake yesterday with some family friends…it was the first time I had been on a boat in at least 10 years, lol!  Isn’t that crazy!  Guess I’ve been busy, lol!  I get to go out tonight for a b-day dinner with my BIL and SIL, who I really value!  It is fun to have some family close by to share a little of our lives with.  I value family~ family has taken on a new spin in my life over the past year or so…I’ve always valued my immediate family- Travis and the kids, but not so much ALL of my family.  I guess family can be taken for granted a bit when you are younger…I think most people have a streak in their life where they just break away from their family a bit to find their own road in life.  I am now on the other side of that part of my life, at least I think I am, lol!!  Anyhow like I said I feel more love, care, concern, interest when it comes to my family these days, I really do VALUE them- flaws and all.

Hope you all are fired up for this week!!! I sure am…33 here I come!! WooHOOOOO!!!

Legs and LEGACY!!

I am a firm believer in firm LEGS and leaving a great LEGACY!!  I want my family to be proud of me while I am here on earth and while I am long gone.  I want my actions to leave a lasting positive imprint on my family, friends and even strangers )

Here is a simple exercise to help you towards living your life with a LEGACY PERSPECTIVE (once again it’s an excerpt from my book: <i><a href=”http://www.buffmother.com/product/127,200.aspx“> Hormonal Timing: Female Fitness Evolved</a></i>):

<i><b><u>Success Tool #6-The 24-HOUR Legacy Test</b></u>

Imagine that today is your last day on Earth.  Your entire legacy will be based solely on the imprints you leave behind TODAY.  If you are a mother, your children will model their behavior based on what they see you do or not do TODAY.
That’s right, you have just 24 hours and your children will mimic every imprint you leave behind.  They will also pass these imprints on to their children and so on…your legacy from this one day will live on forever in future generations!!!

For this ONE DAY:
What will your attitude be like?  Circle one:
 Unstoppable
 Poor
 Great
Will your children hear you complain?
Will you make excuses all day?
Will you show anger toward anyone?
What will you choose to eat?_________________________________
Will they see you take even 5 minutes to exercise?
Will you hug your children/husband?
How many times will you say “I love you”?
What kind of language will you use?
Will you say things that encourage those around you?
Will your focus be on you or will it be on those you love?
Will you focus on positive things or negative things?
Will you sit on the couch and watch TV?
Will your kids see you drink water? Coke? Beer/wine?
Will they hear you laugh?
Would you take a few minutes to show them how to work hard on something?

Was this 24 hour period extremely different than your  normal day?  Did the “legacy perspective” have an influence on your thoughts and test answers? You must realize the incredible power you have to influence future generations simply based on the choices you make on a daily basis.  Everything leaves an eternal imprint!
Think of the huge payoff here!!!  You can have a positive impact on your great, great, great, grandchildren simply by making positive little choices each day.  Every good decision you make from today until you die will benefit your family for generations to come.  You have TOTAL CONTROL over the most important aspects of your Legacy. Imagine how incredible your life would be if you lived every single day according to your answers on this <b>24 HOUR LEGACY TEST!!</b></i>

That was it!
Now…to try and relax a bit with my girls…the boys are off doing their thing, so us four are going to hit SAM’s Club and maybe somewhere else )

Workin it even on FRIDAY!!

I’ve been workin’ it all day today~even on Friday.   Fridays during the summer around here are interesting…many businesses here have summer hours  and close offices at noon.  What an awesome invention!!!  Who ever thought of it must have had a lake cabin ) and valued FUN…
LIKE ME,  I really value FUN!  We all need to escape from time to time to kick back and have fun…I’ve been trying to remember to have fun even while I am working or cleaning.
Music seems to make things more fun- singing along with a song is fun- dancing or moving to the beat a bit is fun
talking to friends is fun– on the phone, in person lunch dates and talking to them at the gym,
e-mailing friends is fun when you get a response ;)
Working out is FUN (sometimes, lol)! 
Change/Adventure is fun!
Being an Encourager is fun!!
Laughing is fun~ like when I watch Dumb and Dumber!!
Kids are fun~ they say and do the silliest things~ like my kids are now obsessed with killing flys, spiders and ants~that’s FUN!

Since I know I VALUE having fun, I’m gonna think more about what is fun to me then go after it!  Life should be fun!!
